Sodalicious is an up and coming rock and funk group that has captivated audiences with their improvisation and wide range of rock covers. The band has performed mostly around the New York area but is scheduling a northeastern tour and elsewhere for the near future. This band is conglomerate of well seasoned musicians from the area that have definitely captured the listener with a wide variety of musical tastes.
Pete Holmgren (guitar) is the main songwriter of the band and brings elements of Folk, Rock and Traditional bluegrass. Pete’s musical background is vast and has played in projects including Franklin Turnpike, Buddha Hat, and his own solo work. Pete’s influences range from little feat, James Taylor and traditional bluegrass. Pete currently resides in northern New Jersey and teaches music privately.
Victor Cornette (Bass and vocals) has played with many musicians throughout the country. He was a noteworthy guitar player in the early nineties taking his music abroad. 5 years ago Vic took up the Bass and has never looked back.... His style of playing is what gives Sodalicious their unique sound, combining lead and groove bass lines that keep the audience moving. His influences range from Phil Lesh, to Ron Carter, to the audacious Victor Wooten. Vic play’ s in numerous projects out of NYC and Northern N.J.
Michael Klopp (Drums) is a graduate from University of the Arts in Philadelphia with Marimba and jazz studies. Mike has played in numerous projects but also was the main drummer on various cruise ships throughout the world backing their shows and special guests. His influences are, every great living drummer on this fine planet. Mike lives in Hackensack N.j and works in Production.
Shoheen Owhady (Keyboards and vocals) has played in jambands around northern New Jersey and has made a name for himself as an eclectic keyboardist. His influences range from Steve Winwood, Brent Midland and john Medeski. Shoheen graduated from Rutgers University and is now working in website management. Shoheen is currently in the Johnson administration and Sodalicious. He resides in Princeton N.J. and runs a studio in Montclair N.J.
